The response
Our creative response leaned on the insight that every workplace is shaped by visible and invisible behaviours, and addressing these issues with humour can drive engagement. We created six characters, from the Workspace Hero to the Office Menace, to illustrate ideal behaviours versus common workplace missteps. These featured on posters, in animations and as large-scale cut-outs with clear calls to action and a new tagline: ‘A great office starts with you’. Characters are designed to crop up alone or en masse everywhere from slide decks to large scale physical installations.

The challenge
TfL was facing multiple etiquette challenges in its head offices. Colleagues reported problems such as faulty equipment, lack of workspace and inconsiderate behaviours like loud calls and cluttered desks.
The goal was to improve the situation by addressing these concerns while fostering a positive, inclusive environment for everyone, without pointing the finger too harshly. Instead of imposing strict rules, TfL aimed to create a campaign that would promote better habits in a fun and engaging way.

This creative campaign tackles a very 21st-century office issue: poor etiquette. Too-loud Teams calls in open plan spaces. Block-booking 12-person meeting rooms for one-to-ones. Transport for London was experiencing some of these issues – and more. Our creative response is helping to solve the problem.
